With the fast-moving advancement of technology and the ease of use of the Internet, it seems that a new craze is born, that is DIY porn or e-Porn (an affectionate name which I calls it).
All you have to do is log on to one of the several porn versions of YouTube to see the proliferation of products that come from the video phone and webcam age. Shaky shots of headless bodies jerking off, engaging in various forms of sexual acts, etc uploaded online tend to have viewers to be under the illusion that they are watching The Blair Witch Project.
These days, it doesn’t take too much to have the body of a porn star. There are more and more gyms around, which means more people are placing emphasis on their physiques. Let's admit it -everyone wants to be a star, and the fastest and easiest way to do it and to get the most attention is to show the world what you have by posting them online. Thus, a (porn) star is born.
My personal concern however, is the consequence of the birth of such DIY porn. While I get my narcissistic kicks elsewhere I doubt I would ever film and upload myself performing "acts" online as at the back of my mind, I feel that online voyeurism will lead to a Pandora’s box we might not want to open, not now anyway.
